Mt Baker Ski Open New 45" snow

The Mt Baker ski area, and all lifts, will be open and running Thursday 11/12/09.  A happy thought for the white stuff frolickers.  Whatcom Middle School had a meeting at Bellingham High with over 800 attending.  Both parents and students alike were told of the extra measures that are being taken to keep the "Wildcat" spirit alive.  
               The love for Bellingham is always amazing, the resilience and community commitment to keep the positive  "the sense of place" that exists in our community is heartwarming and refreshing. 
               From My Binoculars at my office window I have seen a lot of Welding outside the Bridge of the Kennecott Ferry, and the Coast Guard Cutters are, one in port and one out.  I think the Terrapin is in and the Sea Lion is out.
    My Grandson turns 9 on Saturday.  As a Scorpio who turned 62 Last Monday Nov. 2 I have witnessed poetic balance with my beautiful and wonderful daughter.
